What is a Qualifying Case? At minimum you must be able to clearly provide the following: - What is the damage? Were you denied credit? Was the cost of credit increased? - Who is the source of the damage? Who will be the defendant(s)? - Where does the damaging information appear? Something in your credit report? - When did the damage appear? - Why did this happen? Misapplied payment(s), fraud, negligence, violation of your rights, etc. There must be a clear answer to all of the above questions. In addition, various documents including but not limited to notices, monthly statements, correspondence, will probably be needed to provide proper foundation for damage claim(s). |
